Looks brilliant, recapturing the post-Hiroshima tragedy of the original. Beautiful shots, amazing framing. G looks impressive. It’s ironic that it now costs a hundred million dollars to essentially create a man in a suit that The Old Man and the team did in ’54 for about $1.25. I noticed the same thing in the 1998 American version. It moved in so human a way that it almost became a guy in a suit look. That said, I am looking forward to this. Godzilla was a very serious character, a force of nature, an expression of nuclear terror. Later films trivialized him, made a mockery of the serious nature of the character. This may be a step toward recapturing history.
